UDAAN

Balance, Integrate, Scale Heights
Dear Readers,
The Rotary Club of Baroda Metro and The Educlub are pleased to announce - UDAAN
A unique Personality Development Program for the urban under privileged.

Introduction:

Udaan is a unique initiative for the students of corporation schools, aimed at their inclusive growth and easy integration in mainstream society. Under this program, we will design and implement on-going interactive personality development workshops for the students of corporation schools.

Salient features of Udaan :

  • Conceived, designed and implemented by The Rotary Club of Baroda Metro and the EduClub - Baroda Metro is highly regarded for its wide range of life changing community service projects since more than 30 years. The EduClub is a unique centre for education, founded by HR professionals whose mission is to design interactive programs to facilitate learners to become confident, conscientious and self-reliant citizens.- Almost no administrative cost to the club

  • Concept is based on the need for early age intervention - Upto the age of 12, the brain is a super-sponge and it is during this period that the foundations for thinking, language, vision, attitudes and other characteristics are laid down. (Kotulak, 1996) - Weekly Sessions to be conducted in each class, from Std 1st to Std 6th, throughout the scholastic year. In this scholastic year, we will be reaching out to about 1100 students in five schools of Baroda. (Homibhabha Prathmik Shala, Kubereshwar Prathmik Kanya Shala, Kubereshwar Prathmik Kumar Shala, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Gujarati Prathmik Shala and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Hindi Prathmik Shala)

  • Sensitively designed content and customised programs, keeping in mind the needs and exposure of the students of corporation schools

  • Interactive and practice based learning programs, conducted by specially trained teachers – Our teachers have already conducted similar programs for about 3000 students over the past 4 years

The project cost is merely Rs. 800 per child, per year!
